Sharon Mood Award 

This year’s Sharon Moon Award was presented to Marjorie Kort, a CLC founder and former Board Member representing the Centretown Community Health Centre (CCHC). Kort is described as one of the Co-op’s most enthusiastic supporters, who took on the task of persuading CCHC to fund the Co-op during its beginnings ten years ago. As a nurse who has held several social service positions, it can be said that wherever there is a community cause in need of support – you will find Marjorie.“It’s great to receive recognition from a program I have so much respect for,” said Kort. “Sharon Moon was one of my icons – a strong leader in the Centretown community.” The award, named in honour of a long-time Co-op supporter and volunteer, is presented annually to a volunteer who has contributed significantly to the Co-op’s ongoing success.

Leslie Irvine Award

This year’s Leslie Irvine Memorial Award was presented to Jinyu Chi and Kathy Erb. The award is presented annually to active participants of the Co-op who are dedicated members and volunteers. Congratulations!
